October 2008 Blimey, no update in ages! That doesn't mean we haven't been busy! Since January we have been joined by Jason Corace, and since last weekend have begun recording our album! Bit back to front I know, but we'll be concentrating on putting together a live show when it's recorded - but then we're not like other bands. Except those who do things this way. Anyway, we've been recording with Gary Olson from Ladybug Transistor at his Marlborough Farms Studio in Brooklyn, New York, with some help from fellow Ladybug and Crystal Stilts-er, Kyle Forester. Added to that we're working on a Christmas song for the Cloudberry label in Florida. get those jingle bells ready! There's a rough version of one song on our myspace page.
January 2008 Exciting news: Dora Lubin, formerly of the group Black Max, has joined The Soft City and is their new singer. Dora and Phil will spend the immediate future working up a set of songs. In the meantime they are on the look out for people to play guitar, bass, and keyboards (and possibly drums), with the group. If you are interested, please message them via the The Soft City myspace page. More soon!
