Tin tin has released a lot of meh songs inbetween the occasional gems.

well, i can't question the lilac times output, their last two albums maybe, his solo albums "duffy", "music in colors" and the one with "you are" were great. Never heard "keep going" or their last one so i think his output has been mainly great but the last five years ago there hasn't been any gems of his usual magnitude..we'll see....have you heard of a band called "danny wilson"?

i thought of another one: neil young! probably the best songwriter ever... (can't be bothered to check the other lists to see if he's on there, but i didn't notice him in my cursory scan)

they were known for having a song called "marys prayer", look it up on youtube, great tune

here are some of mine in no order... I am thinking of people I respect and deeply moved by their songwriting, and who are very visual storytellers in their song. I am only listing the top 10 to my mind at the moment...!
