this is your chance to let yr indie craftie-ness shine! please join the handmade pin swap! it is sure to rule the school.

it can be a handmade pin of anykind. here are some ideas - decopage, collage, felt, sewing, needle felting. make it special!

so email or PM me your names and addresses before april 24.

next step, you will be paired up with someone. yr secret swapper!

then send out the pin by the end of april.

the start of may, you should have a beautiful handmade, one of a kind pin from your indiepages secret swapper! what a great way to get to know each other and get some mail goodies.

let me know your thoughts or if the dates are too soon.

i have a fear that i couldn't craft up something nice enough to be worthy of trade. i need to hone my novice skillzz before i go swappin pins.

oh, you could come up with something, i'm sure! it doesn't have to be fancy or super crafty or anything. it could be as simple as putting a pinback on a laminated picture or drawing. or you can look online for inspiration. just Google "handmade pins" and see what comes up. the important part is the participating part and getting your creative juices flowing. sign up, dude!

where's KyleKyleKyle been lately? he's usually down for crafty stuff like this!

okay swappers, i have a list here at my messy desk! there are five of us. i think there can be more secret swappers!

pins can be made from anything, really. i have been looking at my fridge magnets for inspiration, too. maybe that can be the next swap? magnets for the fridge. oh, that will be next time maybe... i am thinking ahead!

so for now, it is pins! i just bought some pin backs today! i am ready!

oh, hello dear swappers!

is it okay if we push the pin date back to may 1 for sign ups? i have had some crazy things in my life lately, i need a bit more time to think about my pin. hopefully more kids will be on board! come on indiepagers!! this is true indie spirit!

then this makes the pins to be sent out let's say may 10?

I'd be happy to send out one of the 7000 I already made using Janice's fabulous button machine, but I barely have time to eat meals nowadays, let alone go and get pin materials and then make pins.

If I can cheat by sending out something I already have, sign me up!

arianne, yes, you can swap a pin you already have. i think thats okay, unless other swappers feel differently.

so far there are 6 swappers, hopefully 7? swappers are allowed form anywhere! i am in GA, arianne is in WA, roaul is in CA, tara in MD, and matthew in KS. and maybe genevieve who is here in GA, too. she is a coworker of mine, not an indiepager!

awesome. i can't wait for the first swap!
